  • 7 – 8 September 2015. Attended the Fourth Regional Annual Meeting by CUTS International, Geneva, and CUTS Africa Resource Centre Nairobi, in collaboration with other country partners of the PACT EAC project in the East African Community, titled “Promoting Agriculture-Trade-Climate Linkages in the East African Community (PACT EAC)” with funding support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Meeting held at the Hilton Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • 19 August 2015. Attended a Forum on: “Youth Economic Dialogues.” Forum organised by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Kenya and Alternatives. Forum held at the Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • 12 – 13 August 2015. Attended an: “Outcome Mapping Training Workshop.” Workshop jointly organised by the Evaluation Society of Kenya (ESK), the Monitoring and Evaluation Department (MED) of the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, Government of the Republic of Kenya and Right Track Africa. Workshop held at the MED Boardroom, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • 8 June – 3 July 2015: Attended the “International Programme in Development Evaluation Training (IPDET)” jointly sponsored by the World Bank and Carleton University. Training offered at the Faculty of Public Affairs, Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
  • 13 – 14 May 2015. Made a Poster presentation on “Mentoring Emerging Evaluators – Sharing Workshop Findings” at the UKES 2015 Annual Evaluation Conference under the theme:Evaluation and Influence: Innovation, Inclusion and Impact.” Conference held at the Holiday Inn Regents’ Park Hotel, London.
  • 16 – 20 March 2015.  Training on Outcome Harvesting for the Evaluation of Policy Influence and Assessing the Degree of Effectiveness of the International Growth Centre (IGC) in achieving its intended Outcomes, implemented by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in partnership with Oxford University and funded by the DFID. Training conducted by Southern Hemisphere LLC, South Africa at the Premier Consult LLC Offices in Lusaka, Zambia.
  • 9 – 12 February 2015. Research Uptake (ResUp MeetUp) Symposium and Training Exchange on Research Uptake: Why Policymakers and Researchers should forge New Frontiers”, organised by the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) UK. Symposium and Training held at the Southern Sun, Mayfair Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

Year 2014

  • 17 – 20 November 2014. Facilitated a Workshop titled “Youth and Evaluation: Mentoring Emerging Evaluators” at the Third Annual Monitoring and Evaluation Week under the theme:  ‘A Framework for Developing an Effective M&E System: Key Considerations for Sharing Development Results by the Public Sector at both the National and County Levels.’ A Conference organised by the Monitoring and Evaluation Department (MED) of the Presidency and Ministry of Devolution and Planning in Kenya. The Workshop was held at the Laico Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • 11 September 2014. Attended the Sixth Meeting of the Kenya National Reference Group on Sustaining Improvements in Climate, Food, Trade Policy Coherence’ a PACT – EAC Project coordinated by CUTS International and TRAPCA. Training held at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

  • 4 – 5 September 2014. Attended and Chaired a Session on ‘Education in Africa’ at an Impact Evaluation Conference on ‘Making Impact Evaluation Matter – Better Evidence for Effective Policies and Programmes held at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
  • 1 – 3 September 2014. Attended a Workshop on Impact Evaluation on the theme ‘Making Impact Evaluation Matter – Better Evidence for Effective Policies and Programmes’. Workshop held at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
  • 7 – 9 July 2014. Attended the 6th Annual Research Ethics Conference (ANREC) on ‘Strengthening Research Ethics in Uganda held at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Kampala, Uganda.
  • 3 – 7 March 2014. Attended the 7th AfrEA International Conference on Evaluation for Development: From Analysis to Impact’ held at the Yaoundé Hilton Hotel from 3 – 4 March 2014; and at the Palais des Congrès de Yaoundé, Cameroun from 5 – 7 March 2014.

  • 11 – 15 November 2013. Attended the National Monitoring and Evaluation Week dubbed “Kenya at 50: Best Practices in Shaping the Future Towards Vision 2030”. Meetings held at the Laico Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

Attended a Strategic Plan Development Committee meeting to develop “The Strategic Plan 2013 – 2018 for the Think Tank Network in the Eastern Africa Region (TTN-EA) titled – Networking Think Tanks for Sustainable Regional Integration in Eastern Africa.” Meeting facilitated by the African Research and Resource Forum (ARRF) on behalf of TTN-EA and funded by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). Meeting held at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club, Kiambu, Kenya.
