Western Africa Regional Representative - Mr. Taiwo Peter Adesoba
Taiwo Peter Adesoba is the Western Africa Regional Representative at the African Policy Centre, as well as the Nigerian Country Representative. Taiwo Adesoba is a dynamic and passionate development worker from Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Ado Ekiti, Nigeria and has attended workshops on development evaluation locally and internationally. His interests include research, evaluation, policy analysis, international development, knowledge management and public health. Taiwo has presented papers at international evaluation conferences in Finland, Cameroon and the UK. He is a member of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA), European Evaluation Society (EES) and the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS) and Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN).
In 2012, he was invited to the Technical Working Group on “Young People’s Health & Development” (YPHD) in Ondo State, Nigeria and due to his contributions to gender and Maternal & Child Health (MCH) improvement in Nigeria, Taiwo was offered scholarship to attend the Women Deliver Global Conference 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he mobilized youths from different countries of the world to start the Global Youth Coalition Against Cancer (GYCC). Under his leadership, GYCC has expanded to seven regions of the world and the organization became an affiliate of the Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (GICR).
